Earth Rangers’ Animal Ambassador Trainer Experience is a priceless gift for any child on your list who loves animals

Toronto, Ontario – December 9, 2008 – Earth Rangers, a non-profit organization that empowers kids to improve the health of the planet, is launching its Animal Ambassador Trainer Experience in time for the gift-giving season. Parents will delight in their children’s reaction as they tell them they’ll have the unique opportunity to be an animal trainer, and know what it’s like to fly a falcon, bathe a black pine snake and feed a Madagascan lemur.

Paul Woerner, director of the ambassador program at Earth Rangers says its Animal Ambassador Trainer Experience is an earth-friendly gift idea. It creates memories that will last a lifetime; it requires no packaging; unlike traditional gifts, the originality never wears off so there is nothing to recycle or give away later; and all proceeds go towards caring for Earth Rangers’ animal ambassadors.

Honorary Earth Rangers trainers can meet Sammy, the African serval cat; Cosmo, the lemur; and Koho, the bald eagle at the Earth Rangers Centre located in Woodbridge. They and the rest of the animal ambassadors help deliver Earth Rangers’ vital message that individual actions have a direct impact on the health and wellbeing of our planet. During the program, kids will also learn what they can do to protect all living things, including the animals they love so much.

This year, a study from Youth Beat says that kids nine- to 12-years-old name the endangerment of animals and their habitats as their number one environmental concern. With Earth Rangers’ Animal Ambassador Trainer Experience, Woerner says, “gift-givers can inspire children with a lasting passion for animals. And instill a desire to protect them by acting with the environment in mind.”

Starting in January, Earth Rangers’ Animal Ambassador Trainer Experience will be available to children over nine years of age on Saturday mornings during winter, spring and fall, and on Wednesday mornings during July and August. For more information or to book a one-of-a-kind trainer experience, please call 905.417.3447 or e-mail bookings@earthrangers.com.
