BMW of Peabody Partners With Salvation Army

Honoring their mission to give back to the community, BMW of Peabody takes a caring approach to the upcoming holiday season. BMW of Peabody has partnered with the Salvation Army to host angel trees in their two locations.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program provides new clothing or toys for children of needy families. As part of the program, BMW of Peabody will place an angel Christmas tree in their dealership. The tree is decorated with numbered paper angel tags with the first name, age and gender of a child who will receive the gift. Contributors remove one or more tags from the tree and purchase appropriate gifts for the child or children described on the tags.

This program was designed to make sure children of low income families have gifts to open during the Holiday.

BMW of Peabody is immersed in community outreach projects 365 days of the year. Their partnership with the Susan G Komen foundation has helped to raise over $300,000 over the past 11 years with their Ultimate Drive Campaign. For every mile driven, $1 is donated to the SGK foundation. Additionally, Bud Lyon and Warren Waugh personally dated over $100,000 towards the construction of the YMCE in Peabody/Lynnfield. The dealership is also responsible for a $100,000 gift in computers for the Peabody School system and countless other charitable gestures.

BMW of Peabody is also a major sponsor of Boston College Athletics.

General Manager, Marshal Cabot stated, “We do more than just sell cars here. We are literally a part of the community. We are proud to employ several interns from the North Shore Community College and we offer assistance in the form of donated equipment and shop materials to several local vocational schools. It’s just part of who we are and how we run out business.”
