Single interface solution for SMBs Available on a Monthly Rental model

Mumbai - Tata Teleservices Limited, the youngest and one of the fastest-growing telecom service providers in the country, today announced the launch of its Managed PBX services for small and medium businesses (SMBs) in India in collaboration with Nortel* [NYSE/TSX: NT ] and LG-Nortel (joint venture of LG Electronics and Nortel).

Tata Teleservices’ SMB customers can now enjoy the benefits of a single interface solution for all their communications requirements, including digital ISDN connectivity, voicemail services, interactive voice response and Mobile Extension Services, allowing seamless connectivity. Additionally, customers can now also experience the benefits of advanced communication solutions such as VoIP and conferencing.

Available on an affordable monthly rental model, the managed PBX service pricing is based on the number of connections and users. Customers do not need to make any upfront payment towards the purchase of the PBX equipment.

Commenting on the launch, Mr Anil Sardana, Managing Director, Tata Teleservices Limited, said, “Telephony is essential for all businesses, but many SMBs lack the capital or technical expertise to manage their own PBX. LG-Nortel’s Aria PBX solution offers IP telephony features and easily scales from as few as 20 users to 1,000 users or even more. By embracing a rental model that allows quick access to LG-Nortel’s technology with no capital investment, our customers can redirect that capital into expanding their core businesses.”

“Efficient communications infrastructure is crucial for businesses to succeed today, so it’s vital for SMBs to have access to the same competitive advantages as larger corporations-an option that’s easy to use, simple to manage and priced affordably,” Hitesh Lokhandwala, Managing Director, Nortel India, said. “By combining the technical excellence of LG-Nortel with our own ongoing experience in managed telephony, we can provide a solution that makes business simple for Tata Teleservices’ customers. Now, TTSL’s customers can do business knowing they have all the high-end telephony features they require,” he added.

Tata Teleservices Limited, the first operator in India to launch CDMA services, is rapidly scaling up its world-class Next Generation network on IP switches and MPLS network for offering world-class managed services to enterprise customers. The TTSL service is built on the LG-Nortel ARIA range of PBX solutions. The ARIA range blends IP/ISDN telephony with traditional TDM technology. These solutions provide flexible and cost-effective options for maximizing the customers’ existing infrastructure, while delivering innovative applications. These solutions can also be easily expanded through integration with third-party applications, PC phones, voicemail, auto attendant, and other features. ARIA systems are managed by Nortel’s skilled engineers on behalf of TTSL customers, providing a reliable telephony solution at a low incremental cost.
