Businesses need to rapidly respond to constantly changing market conditions. To address this need, Oracle today unveiled a new release of the Oracle® Event Driven Architecture Suite (Oracle EDA Suite), a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware.
The new release features Oracle Complex Event Processing 10g Release 3 (Oracle CEP 10g R3), formerly BEA WebLogic Event Server, a comprehensive complex event processing platform that includes a Java application server based on OSGI technology, which enables organizations to detect, filter, analyze and correlate diverse business events – including stock trades, order placements, and service requests – to make informed real-time decisions.
Oracle CEP 10g R3 provides a rich, declarative environment for developing event processing applications to improve business operations. The software can process multiple event streams to detect patterns and trends in real time.
Enhancements featured in the new release of Oracle EDA Suite and Oracle CEP include: distributed and local event caching, including tight integration to Oracle Coherence’s distributed data caching services; event record and playback; a visualizer administration console; clustering capabilities; and extended Java development tooling.
Oracle EDA Suite 10g Release 3 is the latest in a series of offerings that integrates technology from Oracle and BEA Systems and illustrates Oracle’s rapid progress in unifying industry-leading software from the two companies.
