SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE:HIT) and the only provider of Services Oriented Storage Solutions, today announced Hitachi Data Systems was positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner Inc.’s Magic Quadrant for Midrange Enterprise Disk Arrays report.1

“We believe that being recognized in the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner Inc.’s Magic Quadrant for Midrange Enterprise Disk Arrays report validates our strategy to deliver on the needs of midrange customers, and channel partners, such as ease of management, cost-effectiveness and scalability to improve operational efficiency of their environments,” said John Mansfield, SVP of Global Solutions Strategy and Development, Hitachi Data Systems. “Furthermore, with the recent introduction of the Hitachi AMS 2000 Series, we strongly believe we are well positioned to increase our addressable market opportunity.”
