Clear Channel Radio’s KXY and Children’s Miracle Network Come Together To Raise Money At the 2008 KXY Loves Kids Radiothon

KXY 96.1 Clear Channel Radio hosts Dan Stroud, Bill Reed, Patti Garrett and Tracy Thomas will be asking for your support for Children’s Miracle Network from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on November 12 – 14 at the Children’s Hospital at OU MEDICAL CENTER on the first floor lobby located at 1200 Everett Drive, Oklahoma City.

Listeners will be asked to pledge any amount of money they wish to help support Oklahoma’s children. They can also choose to become a KXY Loves Kids Member for $15.00 a month. A KXY Loves Kids Member helps further research through Children’s Medical Research Institute, and Children’s Miracle Network will send a gift to a child at the hospital in the donor’s name.

“The Radiothon has become a family affair for KXY listeners throughout the seven years of our involvement,” said Bill Reed, KXY Morning Show Host. “Each year no matter the economic situation, they put the children first and help us reach our goal of ending with at least a dollar more than the last year.”

The radiothon will include on-air interviews with “miracle” children. These children are dedicated to speaking and raising awareness about the importance of research, education and fundraising efforts in Oklahoma. They are called “miracle” children because they represent the true inspiration behind our endeavors to create the best care for children in Oklahoma. Listeners will hear amazing stories of hope from “miracle” children Zach, Karina, Sam, Aidan, Grayson, Jake and many more as they describe living a life of cancer, diabetes and other illnesses.

Children’s Miracle Network is dedicated to raising money for Oklahoma’s kids. Working with Children’s Medical Research Institute, all of the money raised stays in Oklahoma to continue pediatric research, education and treatment.
