Sprint Nextel Announces Date for Fourth Quarter and Full-Year 2005 Financial Results Conference Call and Annual Investment Community Meeting

RESTON, Va. — 01/13/2006, Sprint Nextel Corp. (NYSE: S) will release its fourth quarter and full-year 2005 financial results on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The company also announced that it will provide a detailed discussion of its strategies and operating plans at its annual investment community meeting on Tuesday, March 7, in New York City.

Sprint’s fourth quarter earnings release and Investor Update presentation will be available on Sprint Nextel’s website at www.sprint.com/investors by 7 a.m. EST on Feb. 22.
