Rapid Impressions Printing Arts Selects KODAK EMS Business Software to Manage and Grow Its Business

Chicago, IL.- In a sale announced at Graph Expo, Rapid Impressions Printing Arts will add KODAK EMS Business Software to its other KODAK Unified Workflow Solutions to create a highly automated, cohesive workflow. The full service commercial printer in suburban Chicago will integrate EMS Business Software with its color, production and data solutions from Kodak to enhance its workflow process. Implementation services provided by Kodak will streamline and standardize operating procedures throughout the business.

EMS Business Software, which is being shown in Kodak’s booth #600 at Graph Expo, is a fully integrated, end to end business management solution that combines the strength of a leading lean manufacturing oriented ERP solution with Kodak’s sophisticated print focused capabilities. EMS Software serves as a catalyst for print service providers to achieve business efficiency, eliminate waste, and maximize growth potential.

“We believe our future success hinges on our ability to proactively and efficiently manage information, from customer input to final delivery,” said Jim Kosowski, COO, Rapid Impressions Printing Arts. “EMS Business Software will enable those processes by providing what we consider the highest level of workflow integration offered by any MIS-ERP solution. Data gathered by EMS Software will help us measure our productivity and drive continuous improvements throughout our organization using key productivity indicators.”

Other Unified Workflow Solutions from Kodak utilized by Rapid Impressions Printing Arts include the KODAK INSITE Storefront System, KODAK PRINERGY Workflow System, KODAK UPFRONT Production Planning Software, and KODAK PREPS Imposition Software.

“We have a significant volume of repeat orders,” Kosowski added. “We will now have a system wide management process that allows us to leverage the work done on the first job, further increasing productivity and efficiency.”

The extensive, flexible capabilities of EMS Software provide print service providers with a number of benefits. For effective customer relationship management, retention and problem solving, EMS Software controls all aspects of customer interaction. It enhances sales order management by streamlining the sales process through centralized access to product pricing and customer information, which accelerates order creation and reduces sales acquisition costs.

“EMS Business Software will enhance the production management at Rapid Impressions Printing Arts though its comprehensive estimating, planning and scheduling capabilities,” said Eliza Leung, Product Manager at Kodak’s Business Workflow Product Group. “EMS Software will also create a central knowledge repository for process and product history that will help improve business performance management and the decision making process at Rapid Impressions Printing Arts. Real time and historical reports on productivity and financial conditions, as well as alerts when exceptional metrics or processes are achieved, will allow them to quickly take corrective action as required.”
