Kentucky Printer Increases Output and Productivity with KODAK MAGNUS VLF QUANTUM Platesetter

Chicago, IL.- Continental Web, a $100 million heatset web offset printer of high end catalogs, magazines and commercial printing, is doubling output and increasing productivity and plate throughput with its new KODAK MAGNUS VLF QUANTUM Platesetter with Multi-Cassette Unit.

The KODAK MAGNUS QUANTUM VLF Platesetter with Multi-Cassette Unit is one of the fastest fully automated VLF platesetters on the market, offering a 300 plate capacity in four cassettes and automatic slip sheet removal. Delivering a maximum resolution of 2,540 dpi and line screens up to 450 lpi, the MAGNUS VLF QUANTUM Platesetter, Model 5183, images from 13 to 58 plates per hour, depending on configuration. Plate sizes range from 19 in. x 15.5 in. to 51 in. x 82 in., and the device offers repeatability of 15 microns. Continental Web also uses KODAK STACCATO Screening for high quality color reproduction.
