Dialogic Highlights Leading-edge Solutions Built on Its Latest Technology and Offers a Glimpse into Dialogic Media Labs Video Technology Research.

Parsippany, NJ, USA.- Dialogic Corporation (“Dialogic”), today unveiled a display of leading-edge solutions built on its latest technology at PT Expo in Beijing, China. The demonstration showcases Dialogic’s powerful and flexible solutions for the deployment of value-added services in next-generation and converged networks. Dialogic’s latest product offerings, featured at PT Expo, fill market demand for media processing and signaling infrastructure that offer modular designs and cost-effective scalability.

These products include the Dialogic® Multimedia Kit for PCIExpress (“MMK”), a powerful product for video server and gateway solutions; the Dialogic® IMG Integrated Media Gateway, a carrier-grade, any-to-any VoIP gateway that supports both media and signaling in a 1U chassis; and the new Dialogic® Distributed Signaling Interface (DSI) Signaling Servers, designed to provide cost-effective support for high-performance signaling applications.

At PT Expo, Dialogic is demonstrating new and improved technologies that address the demands of increasingly video-oriented communications consumers. Dialogic’s ongoing research encompasses advanced video compression technologies and emerging video applications such as video analytics and image analysis. This work is led by the video technologists of Dialogic Media Labs, the video center of excellence within Dialogic.

Joe Mele, Vice President, Dialogic Media Labs Group, remarks, “Our researchers are on a mission to bring world-class video technology to Dialogic’s media processing capabilities. These technology demonstrations highlight some areas of key differentiation for Dialogic.”

On display at PT Expo is the most recent addition to the Dialogic family of video-enabled products. The Dialogic MMK is a set of hardware and software components for PCIExpress rack mount servers which provide advanced video manipulation, including media stream transcoding, transrating and transizing for applications such as mobile video conferencing and video IVR. Its flexible design supports open standard architectures in COTS form factor, while providing the processing power required for high-quality media compression.

“Increasingly, our customers in rapidly growing markets globally are choosing our leading-edge multimedia solutions to bring innovative services to the mobile 3G community,” said Mayank Sharma, Vice President and Business Head, mLifestyle Business Unit, Bharti Telesoft. “By deploying Dialogic’s video technology, our solutions scale easily, are protected by a robust technology roadmap and have readily available global support. ”

Enhanced Gateways for Network Deployment
For the rapidly growing VoIP market, Dialogic has introduced new features on the popular Dialogic Integrated Media Gateway (IMG) platform which provide greater flexibility for deployment of SIP-based enhanced services; security for SIP sessions, and a broader range of reliability and maintainability features to help VoIP infrastructure run without expensive interruptions. All of these capabilities are available in a compact 1U form factor that can replace exiting gateway-plus-softswitch combinations and realize both capex and opex benefits.

The newly released Dialogic® DSI SS7G31 and SS7G32 signaling servers will benefit Value Added Service (VAS) developers and system integrators with higher performance SS7 and SIGTRAN signaling, more carrier-grade features and improved scalability. The SS7G31 (1U) offers new cost-effective entry-level configurations while the SS7G32 (NEBs 2U) introduces significant increases in performance and link, route and port capacity. Both models support software RAID for carrier-grade deployments as Signaling Interface platforms or Signaling Gateways.
