Economist Invited to Appear Regularly on the Hank Erwin Show

WEBWIRE

Birmingham Ala. – Alabama State Senator Hank Erwin, host of the daily talk show that bears his name, has recruited local economist and university president Don Kassner to fill a timely new guest slot on the show. Senator Erwin says he is concerned that the citizens of Alabama are confused and anxious about the current economic crisis. He anticipates that Mr. Kassner will help people understand what happened, why it happened, and what they can do about it.

Mr. Kassner, a trained economist and teacher, is president of Andrew Jackson University. The accredited degree-granting institution, headquartered in suburban Birmingham, recently offered a free course in economics to members of Congress. Mr. Kassner feels that citizens and the legislators who represent them should have at least a basic understanding of economic principles. “I hope to shed some light on the current situation while explaining how the economy came to be in such dire straits,” said Kassner.

The Hank Erwin Show, broadcast daily at 11:00am and again at 11:00pm Central Time on cable channel six, features topics of interest to citizens of central and northern Alabama. Sometimes referred to as the Larry King of Alabama, Senator Erwin connects each day with as many as half a million cable subscribers.

The Hank Erwin Show is an official sponsor of Andrew Jackson University’s revolutionary sponsored tuition program. Under this sponsorship, tuition for courses is waived and a degree can be obtained for only semester and testing fees. See http://www.aju.edu/partners.asp for information.
