PUBLISHER RELEASES FIFTH EDITION OF
SHADY BIZZNESS
BY EMINEM’S FORMER BODYGUARD CHRONICLING
DETROIT RAPPER’S HISTORIC RISE TO FAME

(Oak Park, Michigan) On October 21, 2008, Oak Park, MI publisher Manage Me Productions, LLC will release the fifth edition of its best selling book to coincide with the release of Eminem’s autobiography, The Way I Am and to commemorate the eight year anniversary of the release of its own Eminem book, Shady Bizzness, Life As Eminem’s Bodyguard in an Industry of Paper gangsters ”

Originally released in 2000, Shady Bizzness chronicles the historic first tours of Eminem’s career and documents his gradual transformation from aspiring rapper to his controversial Slim Shady alter-ego. No book at that time or since has ever been written about Eminem by an insider with first hand knowledge of what Eminem is really like. Retailers were hit with an overwhelming response during the initial release, depleting all sales in the initial print run and generating a demand for a second edition.

The popularity of Shady Bizzness also attracted the attention of Hannibal – Verlag, the leading publisher of pop music literature in the Germany. Hannibal - Verlag, a division of Koch International, released the third edition of Shady Bizzness, as a German translation distributed worldwide.

In 2005, Traffic Entertainment licensed the United States and Canadian English rights to the book and republished the fourth edition of Shady Bizzness in those territories.

On October 21, 2008 Manage Me Productions, LLC will reintroduce Shady Bizzness to new and familiar members of Eminem fanbase alike. Now offered in hardcover and paperback, the updated fifth edition features more than thirty pages of new material as well as previously unpublished behind the scenes photographs that were not included in the original version.

For the first time, readers will now have the opportunity to read Shady Bizzness and The Way I Am in a side by side comparison to gain deeper insight into the man who Vibe Magazine readers voted Best Rapper Alive in a recent poll. The readers will also be in the unique position of reading author Byron Williams’ observations and predictions about Eminem from nearly a decade ago in hindsight, to see how many of them actually materialized.

The release of this fifth edition version of Shady Bizzness is a milestone. According to Stephanie L. Hammonds, entertainment attorney for Manage Me Productions, LLC and author Byron Williams, “It is rare for a nonfiction, pop culture book or any book to have the staying power that this book has maintained over an eight year period. The fact that ‘Shady Bizzness’ is entering its fifth printing is due to more than Eminem’s popularity. Byron Williams’ ability to pull together a gripping narrative has helped “Shady Bizzness” stand the test of time.”

Although the official release date for the book is not until October 21, 2008, Shady Bizzness currently holds the #4 position on Tower.com’s HardCover Best Sellers List as of October 19, 2008.

The fifth edition of “Shady Bizzness Life as Eminem’s Bodyguard in an Industry of Paper Gangster” is available through Lightning Source, Amazon.com, Baker & Taylor, and Ingram.
