Agfa Graphics Demonstrates New UV Inkjet Systems at SGIA 2008

For the first time in North America – new :Anapurna Mv and :Anapurna M4F wide format printers running live applications at the Agfa booth

Agfa Graphics announced today that the new :Anapurna Mv and the new :Anapurna M4F, some of the company’s latest UV inkjet printers, are making their North America debut at the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) Expo. SGIA is being held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from October 15-18.

The :Anapurna Mv takes the original 63-inch wide :Anapurna M and prints either spot or overall UV varnish to further improve printed materials’ cosmetic appearance and add customer appeal. The :Anapurna Mv uses state-of-the-art 14 picoliter printheads and Agfa-made UV-curable :Anapurna ink. The :Anapurna Mv brings photo quality UV technology to graphic screen printing and sign making shops at an affordable investment cost.

The :Anapurna M4F is a 4 color flatbed, wide format industrial inkjet printer designed for printing high quality POP, displays, posters, exhibition panels, stage graphics, ad panels and so much more. With a print resolution of 720x1440 dpi, the M4F prints on a large variety of media up to 63 inches wide. And the optional roll to roll unit adds additional versatility. The Mv and M4F together with the :Anapurna M, offer a full range of features designed to deliver high quality indoor and outdoor signs and displays.

SGIA attendees will be able to see a complete “Print and Finish” solution provided by the Agfa systems, along with the MGE I-cut router system. They will also see sample output from Agfa’s M-Press and :Dotrix Modular. M-Press is the reliable high speed flatbed inkjet press, capable of doing typical large format screen printing applications, of almost any run-length, more cost efficient. M-Press is offering various production modes up to 5950 sq ft/hr. :Dotrix Modular is a high speed single-pass web inkjet press, perfect for folding carton, labels and flexible packaging applications.
