Nordea best Nordic private bank again

09.01.2006, The magazine Euromoney has for the second year in a row awarded Nordea the prize for Best Private Banking in the Nordic countries. The bank has received this award principally for its comprehensive offering and competence within asset management.

- To receive this award two years in a row serves as evidence of our consistent strength and competence in private banking. Another proof point is the steady growth in the number of clients and assets under management, says Eira Palin-Lehtinen, Head of Nordea’s Savings & Wealth Management.

Nordea has in recent years prioritised the development of private banking and now has some 59,500 private banking clients in the Nordic countries with over 33 billion euros in assets under management, representing an increase of 10% and 20%, respectively, since last year.

- Since we are the largest financial group in the Nordic countries, we can offer our clients a full-scale service that caters for all their needs - everything from financial planning and asset management to loans, life insurance and stockbroking. A true one-stop shop in other words, says Eira Palin-Lehtinen.

In addition to Euromoney’s own assessment, the distinction is also based on the opinions of other operators in private banking in the Nordic countries.
