Seagate partners with GameWorks for 10 City Gaming Tournament Showcasing HDD-driven console and PC gaming

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif.—05 January 2006— Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX), the world’s leading supplier of Consumer Electronics and PC hard disc drives, today announced the launch of a multi-city gaming tournament spanning 10 cities across the United States through a partnership with GameWorks. Over the next three months Seagate will bring its rolling thunder gaming experience to key GameWorks locations including: Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Miami, Minneapolis, Chicago, Seattle, Tampa, Tempe and its first stop in Las Vegas during the Consumer Electronics Show in January.

The interactive traveling tournament will feature multiple Xbox 360 and PC gaming rigs, for exciting tournament play, and showcasing the added benefits of using hard disc drives for the ultimate gaming experience. At the end of the tour, all contestants who have entered the sweepstakes will have the chance to win the grand prize package with gaming, music and photo equipment worth about $6,000. The sweepstakes will be subject to official rules available at each event site.
