Offer Uncompromised Feature Set at Prices Up to $1000 Less than Other Major Brands

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2006 - ViewSonic® Corp. today furthered its commitment to bring the premium LCD performance that professionals around the world experience into homes everywhere with its NextVision® 60 Series LCD TVs. The widescreen 40-inch N4060w, the 37-inch N3760w and the 32-inch N3260w combine full high-definition TV (HDTV) with the latest in video processing and video response technologies to provide ultimate visual experiences at prices considerably less than other major LCD TV brands.

The superior performance of the stylish LCD TVs results from a fast 8 millisecond video response panel and PixelWorks DNXTM advanced video processing technology. DNX electronics correct the entire video processing sequence - including processing still and moving images separately - to improve signal integrity, smooth jagged edges, display more than one billion colors and scale images to make them fit perfectly for wide-format viewing.

Multimedia experiences with the NextVision 60 Series will further grab consumer attention through a comprehensive feature set. In addition to an integrated ATSC/NTSC tuner that offers an electronic programming guide, parental control and closed caption services, the LCD TVs support standard and HDTV broadcast signals, including 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. Connections to other content platforms, such as PCs, cable, game consoles, DVD players and camcorders, also are made simple through versatile connectivity options, including RF for ATSC/TSC, HDMI digital, composite, component (YPbPr) and S-video. SRS TruSurround XT audio provides the latest stunning surround sound experience to make viewers feel a part of the action, while a universal remote capable of controlling a variety of peripherals lets them enjoy experiences with ease.

“Consumers continue to demand uncompromised product performance, quality and technology at compelling price points,” said Jeff Volpe, vice president of marketing, ViewSonic. “By leveraging our global scale, ViewSonic is uniquely positioning itself to capitalize on this growing demand for widescreen HDTV by offering superior visual performance and the price points that make it easier for consumers to switch from analog to digital televisions.”

According to industry leading research firm iSuppli, LCD TV shipments are expected to rise 93.7 percent to 17.1 million units in 2009, from 8.9 million in 2004, with 25-inch and larger set sizes accounting for a 90 percent share in 2009.

ViewSonic’s new LCD TVs provide a wide 170 degree viewing angle with a 16:9 aspect ratio, an ultra-high contrast of 800:1 and a 1366x768 resolution, along with 3D comb filter and 3:2 pull down to ensure vibrant video and sharp data images when using analog inputs. The estimated street price of the N4060w is $1,999, the N3760w is $1,599 and the N3260w is $1,199, after promotional incentives. All products are available in January, and will be sold through authorized ViewSonic resellers and retailers, including CompUSA, Fry’s, MicroCenter and the Nationwide Marketing Group of retailers.

For those consumers who want a NextVision widescreen flat panel without a tuner, ViewSonic is also launching the N4200w. The 42-inch high-definition LCD display easily connects to set-top boxes or satellite and supports the same connectivity options, including dual HDMI. Priced at $2,299, the N4200w is available through authorized ViewSonic resellers.

The four new offerings bring ViewSonic’s rich digital TV lineup to more than 40 products and accessories, giving consumers more ways to bring ViewSonic home.

NextVision LCD TVs are backed by a one-year limited warranty on parts, labor. Optional two-year or three-year extended warranty is also available. ViewSonic offers toll-free technical support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, excluding major U.S. holidays.
