New offerings include International Maternity Management Program, Weight Watchers® solutions

HARTFORD, Conn.— As part of its continued commitment to total employee health and wellness, Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced today that it will expand its Aetna Global Health Connections program to provide international members with additional resources to help manage their health while on assignment. The new offerings include enhancements to the International Maternity Management Program, as well as the introduction of various weight-management solutions through the Weight Watchers® program. Aetna Global Health Connections, which launched in April, already features an International Disease Management Program, maternity education, and the online Simple Steps To A Healthier Life® Program - a variety of easy-to-use, convenient Healthy Living Programs that teach members about eating healthfully, losing weight, getting in shape, relieving stress and more.

“Aetna Global Health Connections is a tremendous resource for our international members and we are excited to be able to bring them more programs and services,” said Martha Temple, president of Aetna Global Benefits (AGB). “The expansion of the program further supports our commitment to member health and wellness across the continuum of care and stages of an international assignment.”

International Maternity Management Program
Aetna Global Health Connections will broaden its maternity education program to become a robust International Maternity Management Program. In addition to information and materials on pregnancy and child wellness topics, the program will feature a high-risk pregnancy screening tool and personalized targeted education for members who are categorized as high risk. Specially trained ob/gyn nurses within AGB’s International Health Advisory Team will administer the program.

New relationship with Weight Watchers®
AGB has joined forces with Weight Watchers, the premier name in weight-management services, to bring expatriate members and their dependents special savings on valuable and convenient weight-management solutions. This new relationship enhances AGB’s existing suite of weight-management options, providing members with even more choices to help them achieve their weight-loss goals and improve their overall health.
