Aetna members can receive care from all Lifetime facilities and care providers on in-network basis

ROCHESTER, NY.— (NYSE: AET) Aetna and Lifetime Health Medical Group today announced that they have signed an agreement, effective October 1st, to bring Lifetime Health - which provides primary and specialty care through four centers, and urgent care at three locations in Rochester - into Aetna’s participating provider network. This means that beginning in October, Aetna members can receive covered care from Lifetime Health’s care providers on an in-network basis. Under some benefit plans this means members will have a lower co-pay or share of the cost, than if they see a physician who does not participate in the network.

“Through this agreement, Aetna will be adding 33 primary care physicians to our Rochester network, which is particularly important at a time when the American health care system is returning to a focus on the importance of regular primary care,” said Dan DeLucia, Aetna Network Market Head for Upstate New York. “We are so pleased to be able to expand access to these important services through the physicians at Lifetime Health at preferred benefit levels for all our members in the greater Rochester area.”

“This agreement opens the door to many area residents who are looking for easy access to quality medical care,” said Arthur Orlick, M.D., President, Lifetime Health Medical Group. “We welcome the opportunity to serve to a greater number of people in our community and welcome back those who were our former patients,” he said.
