Language Line Services Selects AT&T for Global Voice and Data Services Contract

Monterey, California, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) announced today that Language Line Services, the world’s leading provider of language-based services, has signed a three-year multimillion dollar contract with AT&T for global voice and data services. AT&T will provide Language Line Services with AT&T Virtual Private Network (VPN) service and serve as its primary voice services provider.

Language Line Services is a trusted partner to thousands of organizations throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America and the United Kingdom, and its focus is to effectively serve the rapidly expanding market of limited English speakers. Through its leading-edge technology infrastructure, Language Line Services delivers support for more than 170 unique languages to its industry-leading portfolio of clients across markets including health care, financial services, government, telecom, packaged goods, insurance services and travel.

Under the terms of the contract, AT&T will provide local voice, toll-free services, domestic and international private lines and long distance, teleconferencing services, AT&T VPN service and a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network.

To support Language Line Services’ core offer, AT&T’s fully-managed, private and automated VPN service and VoIP network, along with Language Line Services’ sophisticated call-routing equipment, will direct incoming toll-free customer calls to the appropriate global call center for translation services.
