Jennifer Taylor, founder of, has a new theory about losing weight quickly: It should be done as a community. The ProHealthMind Members Community is Jennifer’s new forum discussing various techniques for easier exercising, losing weight faster, and increasing the body’s metabolism.

The collaboration amongst the ProHealthMind members has resulted in certain members learning new weight loss ideas. Gillian is one member of the community at who has learned some new ideas. “One of the many ideas I found in ProHealthMind is that spicy foods actually increase your metabolism by as much as 8%,” says Gillian. This weight loss secret was confirmed by the New York Times in an article published in November of 2006, but few members had known about it.

According to the members in ProHealthMind, though, the most important part of the membership isn’t the weight loss techniques they share, it’s the community itself. In that section, many members have begun to post their exercise routines and eating habits and receive feedback and advice from fellow members in the community.

“One of the things I stress to the members is that by helping others, they will start to notice a lifestyle change in themselves,” says Jennifer. “That basically means that they end up practicing what they preach. It also means that they lose weight much faster than they would otherwise, and keep it off. It’s the closest thing to a quick weight loss program out there.”
