Nero Showcasing Next Generation HD Delivery for Blu-ray Disc Technologies at CES 2006

CES, Las Vegas, NV (January 4, 2006) -- Nero, leaders in digital media technology, is demonstrating its cutting edge support of HD delivery for Blu-ray Disc technology with its ultimate all-in-one digital media suite—Nero 7 Ultra Edition—at CES 2006.

Demonstrations of the Blu-ray support are taking place at the Blu-ray Disc booth (Central Hall #9444), as well as at the Nero booth (South Hall 1 #21568).

Blu-ray Disc is the next-generation optical disc technology for storing high-definition movies, music, games, photos and more. With its support of Blu-ray Disc technology, Nero 7 Ultra Edition now provides the ability to burn and back-up data to BD-RE and BD-R media, which enables users to store enormous amounts of data (25-50 GB) onto a single disc. The new Nero 7 Ultra Edition also supports playback and menu navigation of BD-MV (BD-ROM) and BD-AV Disc content in high definition.

To complete the support for the video formats, support for BD-MV (BD-ROM) and BD-AV high definition authoring, capturing and video recording will be added and officially released in April 2006.
