170 large scale turbines for wind farm projects in eleven countries

Hamburg.-Nordex AG has already put some 100 MW on grid for its customer Scan Energy A/S and this is now to be followed by a further 425 MW: to give Scan Energy a competitive edge the Danish independent power producer has ordered a total of 170 Nordex turbines from the N80/90/100 (2500 kW) family. The date fixed in the master agreement for delivery and installation of the first 41 machines is 2010, with 46 turbines following in 2011 and 83 in 2012. The order is worth some EUR 500 million, including service for up to ten years after installation.



The 2.5 MW turbines are intended for projects in eleven countries: Germany, France, England, Spain, Italy, Poland, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Turkey and Romania. “Nordex already has double-digit market shares in many of these countries. But this order also gives us an opportunity to enter new markets like Romania. We are pleased that Scan Energy A/S has taken this next step in its successful collaboration with Nordex”, says Carsten Pedersen, COO Sales and Marketing at Nordex AG.
