Bayview Kenworth Expands Dealer Network, Opens Fifth Location in Moncton, New Brunswick

Local Officials, Customers Attend Recent Grand Opening

MONCTON, New Brunswick. – Bayview Kenworth unveiled its fifth location with a recent grand opening celebration at its newest facility in Moncton, New Brunswick.



A member of the Kenworth dealer network of nearly 300 locations in Canada and the United States, the new Bayview Kenworth – Moncton dealership sits on a 2-acre site that’s visible and readily accessible from Highway 2 – the Trans Canada Highway and the main route that crosses the Maritimes, New Brunswick and the rest of Canada.

“The new Moncton dealership really extends Kenworth’s presence here in New Brunswick,” said Michael Nagle, Bayview Kenworth dealer principal. The Moncton facility is the first location the longtime truck dealership has opened since it joined the Kenworth dealer network last year with four other locations in the New Brunswick province: Fredericton, Saint John, St. Stephen, and Sussex.


“We were pleased so many of our customers, Moncton Mayor George LeBlanc, and Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association Executive Director Peter Nelson could join us in celebrating the opening of our newest facility,” Nagle said.

Bayview Kenworth – Moncton includes a 10,000 square-foot building with six drive-through service bays, more than 1,400 square feet of warehouse space to keep a well-supplied stock of parts for customers, and an additional 500 square feet of room for parts display. The new location has a comfortable lounge complete with satellite television and vending machines, plus workstations where drivers can catch up on paperwork. It offers Kenworth PremierCare® Express Lube, AC, and Preventive Maintenance services to help truckers get back on the road quickly, and provides a variety of PacLease services, including customized full-service leasing programs and truck rentals for customers in a wide variety of industries. The new location also offers parts delivery into Moncton and the outlying areas, and the service department provides 24-hour emergency service.

“Moncton is located at the crossroads of the Maritimes, so having a new facility here will greatly benefit our customers,” said Art Waddell, vice president of fixed operations for Bayview Kenworth. “Already, we’ve seen a steady increase in our service department business since the dealership opened earlier this summer. Plus, we’ve had a lot of customers come in and take a look at our inventory of new Kenworth trucks.”

According to Waddell, Bayview Kenworth – Moncton will serve inbound and outbound freight haulers, and companies in the mining and forestry industries. “With our service department open until 11:30 p.m. on weekdays and noon on Saturdays, fleets and owner-operators will be able to get their trucks serviced and back out on the road making money, which is particularly important to truckers and fleets that haul inbound and outbound freight,” he said.

Waddell said he anticipates the workhorse Kenworth T800 and the aerodynamic Kenworth T660 to be popular models among fleets and owner-operators in the area with the Kenworth T170, T270 and T370 to be popular choices among local pick-up and delivery operations, particularly small moving companies.
