Bangkok – Citigold customers can enjoy a wider range of investment options thanks to a new partnership announced between Citibank Thailand and MFC Asset Management.

About the Citi tie-up, Dr. Pichit Akrathit, President, MFC said, “Today signals a partnership between two premium brands in the Thai wealth management industry. It’s one that matches MFC’s experience in asset management with Citigold’s expertise in marketing to sophisticated high net worth clients.”

Amit Sah, Country Business Manager of GCG Thailand, added, “This partnership will enhance our ability to provide more market relevant and innovative products to our customers.”

The inaugural product to be introduced from the partnership is an IPO of the MFC International Enhanced fund, a structured fund with a dynamic hedging feature against the Australian dollar and linked to a diverse basket of commodities.

The fund’s underlying index is the RICI-Enhanced Index managed by Jim Rogers, an internationally renowned commodities investment guru. The IPO period will last until early September.

In addition to MFC, Citigold Thailand also offers mutual funds from four other reputable fund houses: Aberdeen Asset Management, Ayudhya Fund Management (AYF), ING Funds, and Manulife Asset Management.

MFC is Thailand’s oldest asset management company and the third largest in terms of market share, with USD 4.5 billion assets under management. It manages a variety of local equity and fixed income funds, in addition to foreign feeder funds.
