Jinny’s Proven Success in Messaging Nets Significant Deal with Melita Mobile Ltd in Malta

Proven and Cost Effective Messaging Capabilities Beef up Jinny’s European Presence


DUBLIN, 8th September 2008 - Jinny Software, a leading global supplier of messaging and media platforms to mobile network operators, today announced that it has won a new deal with Melita Mobile Ltd, a new mobile network which will offer voice and data services in Malta. Melita Mobile Ltd is being established by Melita Plc, Malta’s leading provider in television, broadband and telephony services, who acquired a 3G mobile licence to establish a mobile network and offer voice and data services in the island country. Melita Cable will roll out Malta’s third wireless communications network and offer a full suite of voice and data communications services.

Included in the deal will be the implementation of a comprehensive range of Jinny’s solutions including its SMSC, MMSC, WAP Gateway, Ringback Tone Server, Real-time Charging Gateway, Missed Call Notification, VAS Application Suite, Message Router and Voice Mail System (VMS) which is part of Jinny’s Unified Messaging solution, integrating email, faxmail and videomail, allowing subscribers to pick up messages from whatever device or place suits them. Jinny will also be undertaking a project management role in both the implementation of the various solutions/platforms and their ongoing operations, with support to be undertaken from its regional office in Dublin, Ireland.

Being new to the mobile market, Melita Mobile Ltd was seeking a trusted partner and able messaging provider to deliver these key systems in its new network. Previous experience and knowledge of the Jinny organisation combined with the cost/benefit ratio, flexibility and capability of the Jinny solutions were the key determining factors in securing this deal.
