No More “Are We Nearly There Yet?” Keycamp Holidays Sites In Northern France
Travelling with children can be a nightmare, especially long car journeys in hot weather, so why not go abroad but stay a little closer to home.
Keycamp has a fantastic selection of sites spread right throughout Europe and for those trying to avoid long journeys, there is an excellent choice of sites just across the Channel.
The beautiful coastline of Brittany continues to be a favorite family destination, chosen by parents for its excellent accessibility, and gentle climate. Within easy reach of all ferry ports and four regional airports, Brittany couldn’t be more speedily or simply reached.
The region’s emerald seas and sandy beaches are all part of its appeal, however, Brittany is also popular with holidaymakers wishing to experience some traditional French culture; taking in the unspoiled countryside and visiting its pretty villages and towns with attractions such as Pont Scorff Zoo and Le Mont St Michel, which prove popular with kids and adults alike.
Keycamp offers a wide selection of sites throughout Brittany, each with different qualities so there is certainly a site for every family.
Set in the grounds of a chateau with 400 acres of parkland and woods, Keycamp’s Dol-de-Bretagne site offers a unique holiday experience. The campsite boasts enviable on-site facilities for all the family to enjoy, including a waterpark, canoe/pedalo hire on the campsite’s own lake, tennis, archery and horseriding. There is even a treetop adventure course.
Just a short drive from the site is the walled town of St Malo, home to Le Aquarium, the town’s castle and museums and you could even hop on a short boat trip to the nearby islands of Guernsey or Jersey.
For families with young children, the small family run site of De la Baie is an excellent option. Carefully selected as one of Keycamp’s famed Mini World sites, the relaxing site has an extremely welcoming family atmosphere.
Like all Mini World sites, De la Baie has a Mini Fun Station and a children’s pool, plus all terrain buggies and toddler trucks for hire. The Mini Fun Stations offer supervised play and are purpose built to help you keep your toddlers entertained whatever the weather and are suitable for children under five.
The site is located in a quiet wooded peninsula, beside a beach with calm and shallow waters, ideal for small children. It also boasts a number of onsite facilities, with two swimming pools, waterchutes, Crazy golf and bicycle hire there is plenty to keep you occupied. Alternatively you could venture just one mile away, to La Trinite-Sur-Mer where there are vast selection of bars and shops and excellent fish market.
All Keycamp accommodation is comfortable, modern and equipped with just about everything you need to make your holiday home a real home from home. Accommodation ranges from the two and three bedroom chalets and mobile homes and the magnificent Prestige, Keycamp’s most luxurious mobile home yet, which offers home comforts such as a DVD player with flat screen monitor, an American style fridge freezer and a dishwasher. And for those with a desire to be closer to nature, the perfect choice is the Supertent, complete with four bedrooms, sprung beds and electricity.
A seven night stay at Keycamp’s De la Baie site, near Trinite-Sur-Mer in southern Brittany, will cost £499 from 29 August and a seven night stay from 29 August at Keycamp’s Dol-de-Bretagne site will cost from just £465, both accommodation only..
Keycamp also has a host of family-fun sites in Picardy, Normandy, The Loire Valley and Northern Vendee.
