I-COM Clients see +14% increase in traffic and sales despite economic downturn

Recent Bank of England economic forecasts have been pessimistic to say the least - 0 % growth, a slump in the housing market and higher living costs. Many businesses are reporting a downturn in sales, a lack of consumer confidence and cutbacks in traditional marketing.

However one area of growth still seems to be online (internet) sales and services. According to UK Government statistics almost 16.5 million households in the UK now have internet access, an increase of 1.2 million since 2007. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the new figure represented close to two-thirds of all UK households. UK shoppers spent just over £4.8 billion online during July.
