For those looking for an overview of the Chamber’s many programs, Discover the Chamber is a monthly orientation that includes complimentary pizza lunch and networking. Chamber President, Tony P. Rescigno, leads the group in an overview of mission and services.

Offering entrepreneurs customized business strategies at no cost, The Small Business Assistance Center is a well-known program that provides training, resources, and referrals for start-up and existing small businesses in the Chamber’s 15-town region.

Networking is an invaluable way for businesses to build contacts. The Chamber offers many exciting events, such as monthly Business After Hours, annual Golf Classic, Business Expo, Business Leadership Awards, and an Evening at the Pilot Pen Tennis Tournament. Monthly Leads Groups help individuals from a variety of industries to form strategic alliances and identify prospects that foster Greater New Haven business opportunities.

For sole proprietors, the Solo-preneur Council meets regularly to share ideas, challenges, and best business practices in pursuit of individual success. Its objectives include networking and targeted seminars aimed specifically to assist solo, self-employed and small business owners.

The Chamber’s Health Care Council offers monthly presentations with leaders in the health care field. An annual Regional Health Care Breakfast takes place each June, bringing together health care professionals from around Connecticut.
