Liberty Financial Group announces ITIN Loan Program

(Bellevue, WA, December 19, 2005) As part of its plan for increased growth in 2006, Liberty Financial Group is pleased to announce the launch of an ITIN Loan Program. Available in both 30-year fixed rate and 5/1 adjustable rate mortgages, the ITIN Loan Program is designed to help America’s immigrant populations to achieve the goal of homeownership. Loan criteria includes the requirement that borrowers have an IRS-issued ITIN and government-issued photo identification as proof of identity, as well as have lawfully paid taxes to the IRS for at least two years. Other unique facets include allowing nontraditional savings and credit characteristics.

Barry Horn, Chairman & CEO stated, “We are extremely excited about this loan product. It is designed to extend the goal of home ownership to individuals that otherwise would never have an opportunity to obtain financing. For the past year, Liberty Financial Group has been a financial supporter of Agros International, a non-profit organization headquartered in Seattle, WA that focuses on breaking the chain of poverty in families in war-torn regions of Central America, ultimately resulting in the building of communities of first-time land owners. As a result of our experiences with Agros, we believe that the ITIN Loan Program is one of the ways that we can act locally to continue to expand the opportunities to achieve the goal of homeownership to nearly everyone, and that the benefits of this are far-reaching, potentially impacting home owners’ family members living in poverty around the globe.”
