Big is Beautiful: Seabridge Bathing Launches Its Largest Walk-In Bath Tub

VICTORIA, British Columbia - Seabridge Bathing today introduced its largest walk-in bath tub. The Paramount is designed for people who need more room to bathe.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there has been a dramatic increase in obesity in the United States during the past 20 years. In 1995, the prevalence of persons with a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 30 or more was under 20% of the population for each of the 50 states. In 2006, only four states were still under 20% of the population: Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, and Massachusetts.

The Paramount walk-in bath tub is designed to accommodate this growing population. Like all Seabridge baths, the Paramount is based on Universal Design Principles for the disabled, making bathing safer and more comfortable. It is 33” wide at the rear and 48” long.

All Seabridge walk in bathtubs include two drains for faster draining and larger diameter bath taps for faster filling. Use of air jet massage is safer and more hygienic, and a thermostatic mixing valve controls the hot water temperature to avoid scalding.
