Symantec Government Symposium 2008: Critical Connections on the Cyber Frontier

Symantec to bring together noted government and private sector experts to address critical IT challenges

CUPERTINO, Calif. – July 22, 2008 – Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), today announced Symantec Government Symposium 2008, Symantec’s annual event dedicated to the public sector and its partners. The event will bring together more than 500 government IT, security, and business professionals to discuss all aspects of information protection—including storage management, endpoint security, virtualization, and backup and recovery—as they relate to the public sector.

The event will be held on July 31, 2008, at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. Symantec Chairman and CEO John W. Thompson and MSNBC Senior Campaign Correspondent Tucker Carlson will be keynote speakers.
