“The Card for the Summer – The Card For Years”: Summer Promotion at Citi Handlowy

Warsaw .-Citi Handlowy launches a summer promotion of the Citibank Personal Account and the Citibank Credit Card. As part of the promotion “The Card For the Summer – The Card For Years”, all new customers of Citi Handlowy who will, by the end of September, open a personal account in a bank branch and get a Citibank Credit Card will be exempt from paying an annual fee for the card for an unlimited period of time. All the customers have to do is to use the card at least once within 2 months from the date of the card issue and have their monthly income transferred to their Citibank Personal Account.

“As part of the promotion ‘The Card For the Summer – The Card For Years’ we encourage new customers of our Bank to exploit the advantages of both the personal account and the credit card offered by Citi Handlowy. We have no doubt that once customers start using the wide array of our products, they will stay with us for years,” explains Remigiusz Holdys, Head of Personal Accounts and Deposit Products Bureau. “’The Card For the Summer – The Card For Years’ is also a fantastic option for those who are planning a trip. Today the Citibank credit card, which is accepted all over the word, offers its holders the highest level of convenience and financial security, both in Poland and abroad,” adds Holdys.

The promotion “The Card For the Summer – The Card For Years” starts on June 23, 2008 and will last until September 30, 2008. The customers who will open a Citibank credit card in a bank branch and get a Citibank credit card during this time period will be exempt from paying the annual fee for the card for an unlimited period of time.

“This is a special offer for those customers who have neither a personal account with Citi Handlowy nor a Citibank credit card,” explains Remigiusz Holdys. Under the promotion customers can get any Silver credit card or Citibank-Elle credit card. To benefit from the summer promotion customers need to use their Citibank credit card at least once within two months from the date of the card issue. They should also remember to have their monthly income transferred to their new personal account within these two months.

An additional incentive to use the products offered by Citi Handlowy is a summer gift. The first 1,800 customers who will decide to benefit from the promotion “The Card For the Summer – The Card For Years” and apply for a Maestro or MasterCard debit card linked to a personal account will get a travel guide – “Travel with MasterCard,” which is published by Pascal.

Citi Handlowy is strengthening its position in the consumer banking segment. In the first quarter of this year the Bank has acquired over 67,000 credit cards – up by more than 30% from a year ago. In the first months of this year the number of current accounts increased by 46% to 337,000.
