Kroger Associates In Indiana Ratify New Labor Agreement

INDIANAPOLIS.- The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) said today it has been informed that associates who are members of United Food & Commercial Workers Union Local 700 in Indianapolis, Indiana have ratified a new labor agreement with the Company.

“This agreement continues to provide quality jobs and affordable health care for our associates and their families and keeps Kroger competitive in this market,” said Bob Moeder, president of Kroger’s Central division. "We appreciate the hard work of both the Local 700 and the Company’s negotiating teams. We also would like to thank the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service for their input throughout the process.”


The Indianapolis-based division operates 154 stores primarily in Indiana and Illinois under the following banner names: Kroger, Scott’s, Owen’s, Hilander and Pay Less.

The new agreement covers over 4,200 Kroger associates who work in 60 stores in and around Indianapolis and other parts of Indiana including Bloomington, Crawfordsville and Kokomo.
