Support Military Families by Recycling a Used Cell Phone During the Tour

San Antonio, Texas, June 2008

Want to get connected with 100 bands in 42 U.S. cities as part of the longest running touring music festival in the country? AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) announced its encore performance as the presenting sponsor of Vans Warped Tour 2008, which kicks off today in Pomona, Calif. The popular summer music tour offers AT&T a chance to interact with music lovers and provide special VIP services to its wireless customers. Additionally, to support the Warped Tour’s Eco-Initiative, AT&T is encouraging all concert-goers to donate their used cell phones to support the Cell Phones for Soldiers program.

“Our sponsorship of Warped Tour 2008 enables us to offer a total mobile experience for our customers,” said Patrick Burns, executive director, national marketing, AT&T’s wireless unit. “From receiving localized concert information on their handsets, to being able to text in to receive exclusive backstage access to meet featured bands, AT&T customers will enjoy a unique mobile Warped Tour experience — before, during and after the tour.”

AT&T Signing Stage
AT&T is granting all concert visitors access to the AT&T Signing Stage. The AT&T Signing Stage is where featured Warped Tour bands will hold hour long meet-and-greet autograph sessions with fans. The AT&T Signing Stage featured bands include Angels & Airwaves, We The Kings, Cobra Starship, Everytime I Die, and All Time Low. In addition to receiving autographs of the featured artists, fans will receive an exclusive Warped Tour poster created by artist Oliver Peck to commemorate the tour.

AT&T Backstage Acoustic Performances
In addition to the regular concert performances, AT&T will sponsor six 30-minute acoustic sets at select concert cities — Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Antonio and San Francisco. AT&T customers who win access backstage to these performances will be treated to a special up-close-and-personal mini concert by two featured bands, as well as a chance to mingle with the artists and receive autographs. AT&T Drop Inn
At the concert, AT&T customers can visit the AT&T Drop Inn area where there will be a series of interactive kiosks such as:

Mobile Framerz — This cool mobile application allows you to use your AT&T mobile phone to upload your favorite photo, mash it into a fun novelty frame, and send to your family and friends as a multimedia message. There are a variety of frames to choose from including a special Warped Tour frame. Demo phones, courtesy of Motorola, will be available on site so fans can snap a photo, frame it and then share.
Guitar Hero Mobile — At the AT&T Drop Inn, concert visitors can rock out anytime, anywhere with this rhythm-based mobile game that stays true to the original. AT&T will sponsor daily competitions at the Drop Inn to determine the best Guitar Hero Mobile performance.
Make-Ur-Tones — Want to personalize your mobile experience? Customers can create their own ringtones directly on their cell phones by downloading an actual music track and then isolating their favorite portion of the song into a 30-second ringtone.
There will also be opportunities for visitors to learn more about some of AT&T’s products and services, such as Video Share, and Instant Messaging.
AT&T Supports Cell Phones for Soldiers
The Cell Phones for Soldiers program uses funds from recycled cell phones to buy prepaid phone cards for active duty military members to help connect them with their families. AT&T will have a drop box at the AT&T Drop Inn area for concert-goers to recycle used cell phones to support this worth-while program. As an incentive, everyone who donates a used cell phone at the concert for recycling — regardless of carrier — will receive a complimentary Warped Tour-themed gift from AT&T. AT&T Reverse Daycare
AT&T will once again sponsor the Reverse Daycare tent, which offers kids a safe place to drop off parents who accompany them to the concert. While the kids are rocking out to their favorite bands, parents can mingle in an air-conditioned tent and try out some of AT&T latest products and services, like Smart Limits, as well as simply relax, watch movies, and enjoy a cool beverage.

Warped Tour Radio
Warped Tour Radio sponsored by AT&T is a new feature on mobile.warpedtour.com accessible to fans when visiting the AT&T mobile section on the site. Warped Tour Radio will feature an audio player which will stream full-length songs of the 2008 Warped Tour Bands, which will be available for purchase. AT&T customers will also be able to purchase ringtones and Answer Tones of the Warped Tour songs, which will also be sold in AT&T’s MEdia Mall and Answer Tones store.

The Warped Tour Radio will also provide details on the AT&T Gas Up Giveaway — a unique contest that offers fans a chance to show support for their favorite Warped bands. By downloading mobile content of their favorite Warped Tour bands, AT&T fans can help their favorite bands earn gas money to get to the next Warped Tour stop.
