American Wood Moulding Selects AT&T to Manage Its SAP Application, Expands Existing Relationship
AT&T’s Leading Application Services Capabilities Allow American Wood Moulding to Manage Its Business in a Cost-Effective, Flexible Environment
San Antonio, Texas.- AT&T, Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced that American Wood Moulding, a premier provider of wood molding and millwork, selected AT&T to manage its SAP® enterprise application. Today’s announcement builds on news earlier this year of AT&T’s agreement with SAP America, Inc., under which AT&T serves as a preferred SAP hosting provider, offering independent hosting services for business customers with headquarters in North America.
“AT&T has always offered us the support we needed for our voice and mobile needs, so when we needed a trusted resource to manage our SAP application, AT&T was a logical choice,” said Brad Harrington, AWM’s chief information officer. “AT&T’s scalable solution is just what we need.”
AWM is a vertically integrated, international supplier of molding and millwork products to the retail, lumberyard and builder segments of the home improvement industry. A premier provider of wood moldings and millwork products throughout the United States and internationally, AWM has over a dozen molding plants and sawmills, providing customers with a consistent, low-cost source of supply for moldings and millwork products. Manufacturing locations include the U.S., Mexico, Chile, Brazil and New Zealand.
Currently, AWM relies on AT&T to deliver its wireless and landline services. Today’s agreement also includes Wide Area Network services. In addition, AT&T Hosting and Application Services will deliver remote application management for AWM’s implementation of SAP solutions, including Basis support, for a period of 36 months.
“AWM understands how a well-run SAP application can help it effectively manage its business,” said Jeff Esposito, general manager of AT&T’s SAP practice. “Relying on AT&T to deliver its enterprise application allows AWM to take advantage of our experience with SAP applications and focus on other projects that affect the bottom line.”
As a certified SAP hosting partner, AT&T offers a full portfolio of hosting and application services for the complete SAP application life cycle. AT&T’s team of SAP applications specialists focuses on optimizing SAP solution-based environments to drive the highest value from them based on more than 10 years of experience and 170-plus enterprise application clients.
In addition to AT&T’s proven managed application hosting, AT&T offers SAP clients a suite of application services including implementation and infrastructure management as well as operational and ongoing support services such as technical and functional support for end-users, upgrade services and performance tuning. In addition, AT&T provides development hosting site services for testing, monitoring, training and development.
Today, AT&T serves its hosting and application services customers through its 38 Internet Data Centers located in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. To support its business for SAP solutions, AT&T created, within its Global Business Services unit, an SAP services practice that includes experts in dedicated sales, technical and applications-specific management.
