EMSL Analytical Opens New Laboratory in Charlotte, North Carolina

The new facility is the third indoor air quality, asbestos and environmental testing facility for EMSL in the state.

EMSL Analytical, the leader in providing cutting edge laboratory services and products, is proud to announce their continued strategic expansion with a June 2008 grand opening of the new EMSL Charlotte, North Carolina laboratory. The new facility adds to the existing 31 EMSL and LA Testing locations across the country, bringing dedicated local expertise from one of the nation’s largest laboratory networks to this region.

Overseeing this new office will be veteran North Carolina industry professional Lee Plumley, Operations Manager for both EMSL’s Charlotte and Kernersville’s locations. Mr. Fred Fothergill will be the Laboratory Manager for the Charlotte location and transferred from EMSL’s Corporate Laboratory in Westmont, NJ. Initially, the NVLAP accredited facility will focus on TEM, PLM, and PCM asbestos analyses as well as mold and other IAQ analyses.

“Having a third laboratory in North Carolina allows EMSL to have direct and personal contact with our clients in virtually every part of the state,” reported Paul Cochrane, Director of Marketing at EMSL. “Bringing the local personal touch directly to our clients’ doorsteps has always been a hallmark of EMSL’s success,” Mr. Cochrane went on to report.

The EMSL Charlotte laboratory will begin analyzing samples this week and the new facility is located at the Atrium Corporate Center at 4335 Stuart Andrew Blvd., Suite 101, Charlotte, North Carolina 28217. The new office can be reached at (704) 525-2205 and also at lplumley@EMSL.com.

EMSL has been operating under the same leadership and ownership team since its inception 27 years ago. Additional geographical expansion plans are currently underway at EMSL’s corporate headquarters as well as a company wide push to expand the existing 500 employee strong workforce to meet current and future client needs.
