Sabre Provides Corporations Affordable, Direct Access to Locate Employees on Business Travel in Times of Crisis and Disruption


New reporting capabilities also assist in managing corporate travel policy and identifying trends, including information on unticketed bookings

SOUTHLAKE, TX . – The emergence of a global community has created new business opportunities. However, it also has increased the importance of being able to quickly determine the location of employees particularly in times of natural disasters or world events, as current events again remind us.

How does a corporation quickly and easily locate travelers who might be impacted by an event somewhere in the world? And, how does the corporation also ensure that policies related to the maximum number of employees or executives on one flight are followed to avoid worst-case scenarios?

To address these questions, Sabre Travel Network today announced that corporations now can get direct access to near real- time information to allow them to easily and quickly locate employee travelers in seconds and respond quickly in the event of an emergency or travel disruption. Through Sabre’s Travel Security and Data Suite, which provides this capability, corporations can also identify potential security concerns with planned travel – such as identifying when the number of executives on one flight has been exceeded.

The Traveler Security and Data Suite is a web-based solution that provides the ability to quickly locate travelers worldwide and get detailed information such as travel reservation and personal contact information. The solution also provides the ability to query and obtain reporting for 331 days of pre-trip and three years of historical data, including ticketed and un-ticketed data. In addition, the Travel Security and Data Suite also provides a Flight Threshold Report feature that sends a notification when the number of travelers booked on one flight exceeds a corporation’s travel policy.

Sabre first launched the Travel Security and Data Suite in mid-2007 as one of the first affordable solutions for corporate travel management companies to meet a growing requirement for their corporate customers. The value of this solution was almost immediately proven to both the agencies and their corporate customers following security incidents in the United Kingdom in 2007 (see, for examples.)

The new release now allows corporate agencies that subscribe to the solution to provide direct access to their corporate clients for immediate 24/7 access to the same information, as well as the ability to define and create their own reports.

The new corporate access is available through an interactive, easy-to-use web application, available 24/7 via a secure link. Approved agency and corporate users can drill down from a world map to a list of travelers with detail, or use specific criteria to target the search. The detailed report includes traveler contact information and complete reservation data, and links to an employee’s itinerary for more detail.

The latest release of the Traveler Security and Data Suite provides several important new features in addition to the direct corporate access for additional reporting and international features that include:
- Increased globalization of the solution to support six languages
- Enhanced user-friendly graphical interfaces
- Addition of cruise information
- New reports that provide the ability to query near real-time data, both ticketed and un-ticketed, for information on top destinations, top origins and destinations (O&D), air bookings by status code, group opportunities, arrival and departure, and many other needs. These reports can be downloaded to either Microsoft Excel or a PDF version.

Comments from beta test users of the new release of the Travel Security and Data Suite indicate the solution has filled a gap in the marketplace:
