Peking University Electronics & Information Experimental Centre Selects Tektronix AFG3000 Series Arbitrary Function Generators
Industry Leading Signal Generators to Prepare Students for Advanced Digital Design and Innovation
Beaverton, Oregon--- May 2008, Tektronix Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced the Electronics & Information Experimental Centre of Peking University has selected Tektronix AFG 3021B Arbitrary/Function Generators (www.tek.com/products/signal_sources/afg3000) to strengthen its teaching and research capability. Tektronix will provide 16AFG 3021B signal generators in addition to technical support and documentation. The new instruments will augment Tektronix oscilloscopes and logical analyzers already housed in the Centre and will enable students to practice design and test skills needed in the development of advanced digital technology and products.
“Tektronix is recognized for its innovative products, premier quality, and leading technical support,” said Guo Qiang, Professor at Peking University Electronics & Information Experimental Centre. “Our partnership with Tektronix provides our students with access to industry-standard test instruments and an ideal environment to develop practical skills and experience for a career in digital design.”
The Tektronix AFG3021B Arbitrary/Function Generators will be used in the Electronics & Information Experimental Centre of Peking University for electronics design and test, sensor emulation, and research projects such as digital signal processing (DSP) system development. The Tektronix AFG3021B Arbitrary/Function Generators delivers advanced performance and signal generation capabilities including 12 standard waveforms and arbitrary waveforms up to 128K in length. With unprecedented functionality, features, and ease of use, the AFG3000 is just as intuitive to use as Tektronix oscilloscopes.
“China needs world-class electronics engineers to fulfill the nation’s goal of more independent innovation,” said James Alderton, Marketing Director, Tektronix Asia Pacific. “We are very proud to be associated with PekingUniversity in preparing tomorrow’s engineers for a career in digital design and innovation"
