The new platform family includes: the Teradata 550 SMP, for departmental data warehousing or development environments; the Teradata 2500, for entry-level enterprise data warehousing; and the Teradata 5550, built for more demanding, mission critical and active enterprise environments. With the industry-leading Teradata 12.0 database as the foundation of all the Teradata platforms, customers can migrate to more powerful systems without costly changes to data models, queries or applications and leverage existing resources and tools.
