Jetalliance Group orders more Airbus ACJ family aircraft

The Jetalliance Group of Vienna has placed a repeat order for one Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) and two A318 Elites, adding to the orders that it has previously placed for the family.

Like its other aircraft the new Airbus ACJ will feature a VIP cabin and be powered by CFM International CFM56-5 engines.

Jetalliance Group is one of the world’s leading business-jet enterprises, offering a unique turn-key solution for business jet customers. With Jetalliance, the customer can purchase, finance, operate and maintain his aircraft. The daughter company, Jetalliance Flugbetrieb GmbH is operating a fleet of 35 aircraft with an average age of only three years - one of the youngest in Europe. It operates under JAR OPS 1 in Europe, but is also FAA part 129 certificated, allowing it to fly commercially in the USA and Canada.

“Airbus’ ACJ Family has won a well deserved reputation among private customers as being the new top-of-the-line corporate jet of its size, offering the best cabin as well as an all-modern design,” says Jetalliance Holding Chief Executive Officer Lukas Lichtner-Hoyer. “We manage aircraft for many customers and, for those that want the best, the Airbus ACJ Family is the natural choice”.

Airbus’ ACJ Family has sold well worldwide - firm orders stand at more than 100 - and is in service on every continent, including Antarctica.

“It’s always good to be associated with success, so an increased Airbus ACJ Family presence in Jetalliance’s young and growing fleet of managed aircraft is another welcome milestone” says Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers, John Leahy.

Airbus’s ACJ Family, which comprises the A318 Elite, ACJ and A320 Prestige, is the first in business aviation with fly-by-wire controls. It is also the only corporate jet in its class with extensive weight-saving carbonfibre composites, cost-saving centralised maintenance for all of its systems, and an advanced fuel-saving aerodynamic design that includes wingtip fences as standard.

The Airbus A320 Family, from which the Airbus ACJ Family evolved, has long been the industry benchmark, with more than 6,100 orders and around 275 customers and operators to its credit - and the figure is growing all the time.
