Thales Group Extends UGS Agreement to Globally Implement Teamcenter, UGS’ Digital Lifecycle Management Solution.

Wednesday, December 7, 2005, PARIS and PLANO, Texas – UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced Thales Group, a leading international electronics and systems group serving defense, aerospace, security and services markets worldwide, extended its agreement with UGS to globally implement Teamcenter™ software, UGS’ digital lifecycle management solution and the world’s most widely used PLM portfolio.

Thales Group originally deployed Teamcenter technology in several divisions to optimize the company’s processes and workflows worldwide, enabling more efficient, simplified access to product data, as well as to create a more homogeneous enterprise-wide IT environment.

With the global implementation, Thales Group will use Teamcenter for change management, validation cycle and all data generated by the Thales Group’s extended enterprise. In addition, Teamcenter will be deployed as part of the company’s Enterprise Resources Planning-Manufacturing Resources Planning (ERP-MRP) exchange platform.
