The site is the brainchild of Amy Stevens, a long-time fan of container gardening. Amy has been gardening in containers for around two decades! Her experience and love for container gardening shine through in this website.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, if you’re disabled, or even if you live in an urban apartment, you can grow your own fresh vegetables, herbs, and fruit in containers,” say Amy. “I believe very firmly that absolutely anyone can use this method to grow some of their own produce, and I want to spread that passion to as many people as possible.”

Container gardening has been growing in popularity for decades, mostly due to the increase in the number of people who live in apartments and duplexes, and the decreasing size of the average yard. These days, many new houses are built on very little land, and many homeowners may not have room for a traditional garden. Container gardening can be the answer they’ve been looking for.
