December 06, 2005, New York – XM Satellite Radio subscribers’ lives have just gotten easier. Beginning this month, a new short-form entitled “Real Simple Solutions” will air on “Take Five,” the new women’s channel launched by XM Satellite Radio last month.

Since the launch of its magazine five years ago, the Real Simple brand has struck a chord with busy women looking to simplify their lives. Its concise, useful strategies, coupled with a clean, inspiring design, focus on making women’s lives easier, from preparing a fast, healthy breakfast to getting a good night’s sleep. In essence, Real Simple helps its readers do what they need to do, so they have more time to enjoy what they want to do.

“We’re excited to be able to offer the stellar content from Real Simple to the millions of XM listeners nationwide,” says Amy Reyer, program director, Take Five. “Real Simple has established itself as a brand trusted by millions of women, and its presence on Take Five only enhances our programming. It’s a perfect fit for our audience of smart, busy women.”

“We’re thrilled to be working with XM to make Real Simple’s mission – life made easier – available to its millions of listeners,” said Kristin van Ogtrop, Real Simple managing editor.

“We look forward to engaging more people through ‘Real Simple Solutions,’ and to building brand awareness through this new platform.”

Two to four original ‘Real Simple Solutions’ will air each weekday, each one being re-broadcast throughout the day on XM’s Take Five channel, as well as on other XM talk and news channels. Drawing from Real Simple’s broad content, topics range from fashion to food to holidays to cleaning to friends and family – all focusing on solutions to make life easier. In addition to ‘Real Simple Solutions,’ Real Simple editors will be frequent guests on XM-produced programs.
