New Download Capabilities to Enhance Agents’ Claim Service Role

WARREN, NJ. – The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies is offering its agents and brokers the ability to automatically download personal and commercial lines claim information into their agency management systems. Working with Applied Systems, claims download was developed in response to agents’ desire to have immediate access to the entire claims workflow directly from their agency management systems.

“Our new claims download capability is an important addition to our suite of tools enabling our agents and brokers to proactively stay apprised of the claim process and provide their customers with timely information and enhanced service,” said Dino E. Robusto, Chubb executive vice president and worldwide claim officer. “By integrating customer claim information directly into their agency management systems, agents and brokers will now have loss notifications, status reports and other up-to-date claim information at their fingertips.”

“Our staff spends a lot of time on claims. While we can go to carrier Web sites and run claim inquiries, this time adds up and that’s before we update our own systems,” said Donna Barr, assistant vice president of Marsh’s Private Client Services. “With Chubb’s new technology, we think that we will be able to significantly reduce the amount of staff required to handle these functions.”

Claims download is available to agencies and brokerages that use The Agency Manager® (version 9.3 or higher) from Applied Systems. To receive claims download, agents must enroll at http://www.chubb.com/agents/chubb7884.pdf.
