EMSL Analytical has been busy opening new facilities in such cities as Denver, Phoenix, Tampa, and others in the past 6 months with more in the works. The company has also been ramping up existing laboratories to expand offerings and increase capacities to handle increased workflow.

EMSL Analytical opened its doors in New Jersey in 1981 as the brainchild of Dr. Peter Frasca, who is currently the company President. Starting from humble beginnings with one facility, the company has grown into one of the largest environmental laboratories in the nation. The company has achieved this amazing level of growth while maintaining the same dedicated ownership.

Today the company has 27 laboratories and 3 service centers spread out from coast to coast. The company’s original focus on asbestos analysis has since evolved into other environmental areas including industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, food testing, material sciences and other specialized areas of testing and expertise. The company also has a thriving environmental product sales division and one of the industries’ best known training programs.
