Partnership creates workflow automation to effectively monetize online video

Dulles, Va. – May 2, 2008 - Anystream® (www.anystream.com), the market leader in digital media production and management solutions, today announced Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc. has implemented the Anystream Media Lifecycle Platform™ to capitalize on both brand awareness from video-rich websites and new advertising models.

Slipstreamed into Hearst-Argyle’s workflow, Anystream puts live video from 11 of Hearst-Argyle’s 29 owned and operated stations online in minutes. Anystream also preserves the metadata produced when visitors watch video on Hearst-Argyle station websites and uses this information to track and repurpose content.

“With Anystream, we have cut our production and distribution to online channels from 30 minutes to three-and-a-half minutes,” said, Joe Addalia, director of technology projects for Hearst-Argyle. “By preserving video metadata, we have the intelligence to quickly track and reuse our content as opportunities develop, giving us a competitive advantage.”

Anystream has improved Hearst-Argyle’s content generation capabilities, increasing the number of stories published online as much as five fold and with significantly improved quality. This change in timely news published to affiliate sites has also led to an increase in pre-roll advertising inventory.

“Our work with Hearst-Argyle is the perfect illustration of Anystream’s commitment to providing syndication solutions that help our customers produce, manage and monetize media,” said Russell Zack, vice president of product management for Anystream.

Hearst-Argyle will roll out Anystream to additional stations this year.
