ANN ARBOR, Mich – The University of Michigan Health System has revamped its online newsroom, providing more streamlined access to news, background information and interactive resources for the media and public.

While it continues to be your source for health, medical and research news, the newsroom offers additional multimedia and social networking tools, and quicker access to the most requested information, such as scheduling interviews, backgrounders and media contacts, within two clicks of the mouse.

Press releases contain embedded video, downloadable images, related podcasts and links to supplementary information on related experts, journals or abstracts.

The new multimedia gallery gives access to UMHS podcasts, downloadable radio news bytes and transcripts, Health Minute videos and RSS feeds, which allow visitors to subscribe and receive the health news of their choice.

Social networking tools provide options to bookmark and share stories with friends and on blogs and various other networking sites, such as Facebook and MySpace.

In addition, all Health Minute videos are posted on the new U-M Health System YouTube Channel for ease in viewing and sharing.

You can access UMHS podcasts, and other U-M podcasts, on iTunes U as well.
