Company Announces New Resources to Create More Business Opportunities for J-Partners at Annual Summit

LAS VEGAS, April 2008 -- At the annual Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) J-Partner Summit in Las Vegas, the company today announced several new resources for Juniper’s J-Partners to help accelerate, extend and optimize their businesses and the value of high-performance networking. Building on Juniper’s strategy to enable and promote partner value-add and their brand, the new J-Partner resources will help partners to better design, implement and manage Juniper high-performance network infrastructure solutions. The new partner resources include the Juniper Networks JUNOS™ Knowledge Transfer Toolkit, the J-Partner Virtual Lab, a new Sales Specialist Advanced course, and a new J-Partner Solutions Configurator.

“We continue to invest and offer business-building resources and service-enabling initiatives to help partners deliver the right mix of high-performance networking solutions to their customers,” said Frank Vitagliano, senior vice president, Worldwide Channels, Juniper Networks. “As we broaden our solutions portfolio with products like the EX-series of Ethernet switches, and leverage JUNOS as our single-source operating system, we enable our J-Partners to strengthen the overall business value they bring to the enterprise.”

“Outside of great technology, one of the key differentiators with Juniper is that they encourage and enable partners to lead with their own brand,” said Phil O’Reilly, CEO of Solunet, a Melbourne, Fla.-based solution provider. “As a company, Juniper continues to go to extraordinary lengths to support its partners’ efforts to develop comprehensive end-user relationships. The constant innovation of new J-Partner programs maximizes our profit opportunity with Juniper products. What makes them so unique is the fact that they reward partners on the value they provide and the services they deliver versus the volume of products they sell.”

“Companies are constantly searching for new and better ways to enable their channel partners, yet many struggle to deliver the value, service and support their partners need to grow the business,” said Tiffani Bova, Research Vice President at Gartner. “By focusing channel programs on value and services versus the usual sales volume and certifications, manufacturers can quickly differentiate their model from that of their competitors and establish a community that rewards channel partners for specializing their service which in turn will help to increase their product sales and attach rates.”
Focusing on Partner Enablement and Value

Juniper strives to establish strong and mutually beneficial partnerships by offering flexible programs and resources that make it possible for partners to focus and optimize results based on skills, best practices and value-add capabilities. The introduction of these new business-building, enablement tools and resources will help to accelerate partner growth and enhance partners’ ease of doing business with Juniper. The new J-Partner Program offerings include:

* JUNOS Knowledge Transfer Toolkit: The new collaborative toolkit enables J-Partners to quickly and cost-effectively educate their customers on JUNOS software, a single-source operating system.
* Juniper Networks J-Partner Virtual Lab: Offering J-Partners free, anytime “virtual hands-on” access to Juniper’s product portfolio for training, education and customer demos.
* Juniper Networks Sales Specialist Advanced Course: Exclusively for J-Partner sales engineers, this new course provides a detailed blueprint for designing and configuring Juniper Networks high-performance network infrastructure solutions.
* Juniper Networks J-Partner Solutions Configurator: Making Juniper easier to do business with, the new configuration tool speeds deployment and assures smoother implementations for J-Partners.

In addition, Juniper recently introduced a new Service Specialization for Implementation, which recognizes partners with a proven expertise and rewards them with an easy-to-reference, tell-all playbook for designing, developing and deploying specific Juniper solutions.
