Texas Instruments recognizes employees and top suppliers who support MWBEs
TI awarded $190 million in contracts to minority- and women-owned suppliers in 2007
Texas Instruments Incorporated (NYSE: TXN) (TI) recently named five suppliers as Gold Partners and one as a Silver Partner for outstanding use of minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE’s) to contribute to the success of TI and its customers.
In 2007, TI awarded $190 million in contracts to minority- and women-owned businesses, and TI’s major non-MWBE suppliers recorded $18 million in purchases directly related to TI business from firms operated by women and minorities. The Gold and Silver Partners are among those suppliers.
The company also recognized a number of employees, both individuals and teams, for growing the business of incumbent MWBE suppliers or providing business opportunities to new suppliers in 2007.

The 2007 TI Gold Partners include Air Liquide, a supplier of industrial gases, chemicals and related services; Cadence Design Systems, EDA software supplier; DFW Test and Millennium Circuits, both designers and manufacturers of customized printed circuit boards and probe cards for testing semiconductor integrated circuit (IC) designs; and Volt Services Group, a supplier of global sourcing and staffing services.
Automated Circuit Design, also a designer and manufacturer of customized printed circuit boards and probe cards for testing IC designs, was recognized as a Silver Partner.
Gold were those who reported $1M+ in spend with MWBEs directly related to their business with TI. Silver were those who reported $500K - $999K in spend directly related to their business with TI.
Shaunna Black, TI Vice President of Worldwide Facilities, received the Executive Leadership Award for her commitment to making the development of MWBE partnerships a high priority and a business imperative.
