TELUS World Skins Game announces 2008 event is ‘Sold Out’

Event broadcast schedule released for those unable to be at Predator Ridge in person

The TELUS World Skins Game will be returning to British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley this June, bringing with it one of the most star-studded fields the event has ever seen. The excitement is evident as organizers announced today the 2008 TELUS World Skins Game in support of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation officially ‘sold out’ just one week after tickets went on sale to the public.

“Golf fans in B.C. are clearly as excited about the TELUS World Skins Game returning to Predator Ridge as we are,” said Steve Podborski, executive director TELUS Sport Marketing. “With a spectacular field, a wonderful charity partner in BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the beautiful Okanagan Valley as a backdrop, we’re confident 2008 will be one of the most exciting years this event has seen in its 16-year history. We’d like to say ‘thank you’ to the entire province, and to fans across Canada, for the support they have shown to us, and to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and we’re very much looking forward to visiting Predator Ridge in June.”

For golf fans not able to attend the event at Predator Ridge Golf Resort, the event broadcast schedule on TSN (HD) and RDS (HD) was released today.

June 16 – TSN (HD): 4:30-7:00 p.m. PT/7:30-10:00 p.m. ET
June 18 – TSN (HD): (second round delayed a day due to NBA Finals) 4:30-7:00 p.m. PT/7:30-10:00 p.m. ET

June 16 – RDS (HD): 5:00-7:00 p.m. PT/8:00-10:00 p.m. ET
June 17 – RDS (HD): 5:00-7:00 p.m. PT/8:00-10:00 p.m. ET

Repeat broadcasts of the event will also be shown on TSN and RDS with specific broadcast times for the repeats being provided closer to the event in June.

The TELUS Skins Game, an event owned and operated by IMG in Canada for 16 years, has included many of the biggest names in the game including Jack Nicklaus, Sergio Garcia, Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson.
